NUXE Merveillance Expert & Nirvanesque range introduction

Merveillance Serum Expert $64.95, Merveillance Enrichie Jour Expert $59.95
Available from September 2014.
Nirvanesque Contour Des Yeux $44.99, Nirvanesque First Expressions Lines $49.99
Available from www.priceline.com.au

Nuxe is a French skin care brand which fairly recently hit the Australian shelves of Priceline, there has been quite a lot of only hype surrounding the brand so I was excited to try it out for myself.  If you are a lover of French skin care then you are probably already be a fan of Nuxe, and would have tried there cult favrouite Reve De Miel Lip Balm. The chic packaging and botanical ingredients were the first two things I was instantly drawn to, giving the brand a very natural aesthetic and vibe.
Nirvanesque is the line of first defence anti-aging products from Nuxe aimed at the 30+  market, the products target the first signs of aging from 'expression lines' and if you are like me that is from a lot of laughing. The products are filled with super charged plant botanical ingredients like Mauve Root, Acmelia, Rose Muscat Oil. The packaging is all 100% recyclable and 61% lighter which is great for travelling.
Merviellance will be available from September in Australia as Nuxe's lastest release aimed towards women over the age of 40 with all skin types. The range is packed with dermal proteins to help skin which has already started aging due to time, photo and light damage. Combining the serum which gives skin an instant tightening feeling and lift packed with Hyaluronic Acid to plump skin and the Correcting Cream will help mature skin absorbs moisture and improve texture. I'll be passing these 2 products on to my Mum to test out, and might get her to do a little review on BG.....So stay tuned.

If you have been curious about trying French skin care products then Nuxe is a natural and eco-friendly brand to start with at any age.

Updated night time skin care routine - Let the products do the work while you get your beauty sleep!

My nightly skin care routine has changed quite a lot in the past 3 months, realising I needed products that were quick to apply and also how to layer products to lock moisture in rather than using a single night cream and expecting miracles. Hope this helps with anyone wanting to switch up their nightly skin care routine.

STEP 1: Serum
Hydraluron Moisture Booster $34.00 Available from www.priceline.com
Serum goes first always - day and night! You want the super intense ingredients to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. Hydraluron is packed with Hyaluronic Acid which is great for adding hydration to dry skin, which I why I have been loving it lately as my skin is going through its annual winter dry patch stage.

STEP 2: Eye Cream
Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum $58.00 Available from www.jurlique.com.au
Whilst the Hydraluron is sinking into my skin, I apply a small amount of this beautiful eye serum to the skin all around my eyes and also my eyelids in a soft patting motion...is it weird that I paranoid about getting wrinkly eyelids?!? Well I am.

STEP 3: Clearing Gel
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo $27.99 Available from www.priceline.com
I get lots of questions about what to use for breakouts when you are in your 20's and 30's, as the teen acne products are way too harsh on slightly older skin. My answer is always 'La Roche Posay - Effaclar Duo' it is a clearing gel which is applied to only the area you are trying to clear up. For me at the moment my forehead is a breakout zone, so I apply a pea size amount and allow it to be absorbed completely before starting my next step.

STEP 4: Night Oil
Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil $32.99 Available from www.priceline.com
Applying a nightly oil at any age is a great idea, if you are in your teens and worried adding oil will make your skin oilier - it wont and I wish I started using it at a younger age. For me this is a sealing layer, it locks in the serums and adds an extra layer of super hydration.

STEP 5: Heavy Duty Lip Balm
Chap Stick Day & Night Repair duo $7.99 Available from www.priceline.com
If you sleep with your mouth open then you are going to suffer from dry and cracked lips, I love using an ultra heavy duty lip balm before I go to sleep because it is really going to sit on your lips and be absorbed.

STEP 6: Hand Hydration
L'Occitane Hand Cream $12.00 Available from www.loccitane.com.au
Don't forget your poor neglected hands, having a hand cream on your bedside table at the ready is a great idea if you forget to apply hand cream on a regular basis. I am a total hand cream hussy and never stay loyal to one brand in particular but I am liking the L'Occitane hand cream a lot.

Bioderma Sébium Range Review

Bioderma Sébium is available from www.priceline.com.au

The French just do some things better than rest of the world - Pastries, Champagne, Nonchanlant attitudes and Skin Care. Over the past month I have been trialling the new (well new to the Australian market) Bioderma Sébium range, which is targeted to oily and acne prone skin. The technology that has gone in to creating this range is phenomenal, when it was explained to me at the product launch I felt like I was in a year 10 chemistry class. With all the science in the world aside, all that really matters is if the products work, right?! Below is my review of the full range of Bioderma Sébium range for your reading and skin care curious pleasure. If I had to pick a star product of the range it would be the Foaming Cleansing Gel, I have noticed a difference to my skin by using this daily in my skin care routine.

For the past year my first step in my evening skin care routine is to take my makeup off with a Bioderma soaked cotton round. I had been using the Bioderma H20 Crealine with the pink lid, which is gentle enough on my eyes to not sting when removing the massive amounts of mascara I wear on a daily basis. The Bioderna Sébium cleansing water is similar but I feel it gives an extra freshness to the skin, it effortlessly removes face makeup but also gives any areas which are breaking out an extra little detox cleans. I have however found this too irritating to use to remove my eye makeup so I will stick to the original for that.
This is a very granulated scrub which I love to using to get an extra clean face before applying a face mask once or twice a week. But if I am just using it in the shower I tend to focus the scrub just in my T-zone where I am most oily.
For me this has been the stand out product of the range, it has reduced the amount of oil my skin is producing and I love how clean my face feels after using it. Using 2 pumps of the Bioderma Cleansing Gel on my Clarisonic has been the most effective way of applying it to get good results. Maybe because the brush works the gel into the skin more? I don't know but I love it.
I have terrible luck with mattifying primers, maybe it is because I have the oiliest skin of all time? This primer does smooth out flaws and pores for about 10mins after I have applied it looks great but then my oily skin breaks through again. It would be better suited to an oily combination skin, or anyone who is less oily than me.
If you are like me and have areas of your face which break out in more than others and you are looking for a product which you only need to apply to a targeted area then this is your guy! For me my chin is the spotty zone of my face which just gets bombarded with spots every month at that time, so applying this under my moisturiser has made a difference in the time it takes for a break up to heal and pass.

Pourquoi est le français soins de la peau toujours si diablement bon?!

Why is french skin care always so damn good?!
