NIP + FAB Glycolic Fix Scrub and Cleanser

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub $21.95 and Cleanser $17.95 available from www.target.com.au

Glycolic acid has long been spoken about as a holy grail ingredient in skin care that will leave your skin 'glowing'. Glycolic Acid is a chemical exfoliant which is often found in masks and peel treatments but NIP + FAB has been cleaver enough to include them in their new Glycolic Fix cleanser and scrub. Using low amounts of the acid it works as a gentle resurfacing exfoliatant rather than if you were to use it in a mask or a peel to take off multiple layers of dead skin. Using them daily makes your skin have a brightened look because any dead skin gathering on old blemishes or flaking will be buffed off gently.

I am 100% addicted to Glycolic acids and love how my skin looks after I've used a mask with them in it, now I am excited to get the bright look on a daily basis! NIP + FAB are definitely worth a try if you are feeling like your skin is looking a little lack luster after winter.

Beauté Gazette's guide to Spring Racing essentials feat. ASOS, Rimmel and Benefit's new Bling Brow.

Whether you and your friends are going to attend the Spring Racing Carnival track side or donning a fascinator in the office on Melbourne Cup day for the office sweep stakes is more your thing. Traditional race wear and beauty is completely out dated, gone are the days of huge flying saucer hats and tacky feathery fascinators. Here is the Beauté Gazette guide to alternative race wear accessories and beauty.

Satin pink bow headband from ASOS $11.95
This adorable little headband is my perfect balance of pretty and elegant without being an over the top eyesore. It is also under $15.00! Horray for a wallet friendly price point, leaving you more money to spend on champagne on the day.
Available from www.asos.com

Gold drop earrings with rose quartz by Amy Tamblyn $75.00
How absolutely adorable are these earrings? It was love at first sight when I spied them. They sit perfectly on the earlobe and are so light you cannot feel any weight whilst wearing them, which is what you need when you are going to out all day and night for Melbourne Cup shinanigans.
Available from www.amytamblyn.com

Surface To Air Arabella Suglasses $129.00
I love sunglasses that are expressive of your personality and mood, these Surface To Air Arabella's are my new obsession. The pastel blue colour is unexpectedly chic and goes well worn with so many different outfits. The races are a time to leave your serious glasses at home and have some fun with your eye wear, also don't forget that glasses are your number one accessory when champagne is being consumed before midday.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream EDP $60.00-$120.00
When swanning around the race track you need a fresh, flirty fragrance, no heave notes that will weigh, steer clear of Ambers and Patchoulli and gravitate to florals with top notes of Jasmine and freesia. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is the perfect fragrance for a long day at the races, it will make you feel fresh and floral all day long.
Available from www.myer.com.au

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in colour 16 $11.95
Your lipstick choice on Melbourne cup needs to be fuss free and long lasting, ain't no one got time to be reapplying after every glass of champagne. The Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipsticks are a fantastic formula and the colour selection amazing, there is totes colour to match any outfit.
Available from www.priceline.com.au

Benefit Bling Brow Kit $38.00
If hats and fascinators are really not your thing then why not bedazzle your face and brows with Benefit's new Bling Brow kit? The kit comes with self adhering diamontes, tweezers and a guide to creating your own Bling Brow look. You can apply as little or as many as you like depending on how subtle you like your bling
Available from Myer stores and www.benefit.com from November 1st

Wishing you lots of lady luck!

Spring Beauty Favorites

Spring has officially sprung and that means a total product overhaul, gone are the dark lipsticks and intense moisturisers of winter and in with a new batch of hot weather friendly products. This month it has been less about the gloss and pretty factor of products and more about the practical to prepare for summer. So here's the round up of products I have been loving so far this Spring!

MAKE UP

Models Prefer Cream Blush in Dream $10.99
This cream blush is incredible!!!! A total dupe for the NARS Multiples and a fraction of the price, Dream is very similar to the NARS multiple in Malibu in very possible way. It is all I have been wearing on my cheeks this month and I have had so many compliments from people which is always nice. The shade range is great and features both matte and shimmer colours for whatever floats your blush boat!
Available from www.priceline.com.au

Max Factor Eye Shadow Pots in Burnt Bark, Savage Rose and Pale Pebble $12.95 each
These little Max Factor eye shadow pots completely surprised me, the shadows are buttery soft and have amazing staying power on my very oily eyelids. Great if you are a one shade of eye shadow kinda gal and cannot be bothered with a technical smoky eye.
Available from www.priceline.com.au

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 02 $24.00
Wowzers I thought I had tried all of the lipsticks ever as a beauty blogger but then a brand goes and makes a lipstick like the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet and you are totally blown away. The formula is very smooth when applying and the colour is beautifully placed onto your lips and isn't messy at all. The colour is gorgeous and bright but not too loud and in your face. Definitely a must try for any lipsticks addicts.
Available from www.priceline.com.au

SKIN CARE

Glow Inner Beauty Powder by The Beauty Chef $59.00
My skin freaked the f**k out over the last couple of weeks of winter, breaking out and being a general mess, as well as stepping up my cleansing routine I switched up my diet. Making sure I was drinking lots of water and eating a ton of veggies, I also added The Glow Inner Beauty Powder to any smoothies or just downing it mixed in with water. My skin is has cleared up and is even better than normal, so along with my diet I am thanking the Glow powder for the quick skin recovery. This is what Glow Inner Beauty Powder claims to help with:
Replaces beneficial flora and nourishes the skin from the inside
Contains prebiotics and probiotics
Rich in a variety of nutrients
Tastes berry delicious - (NO IT TASTES GROSS!)
Contains twenty four skin loving super foods
Fermented using our unique natural mother culture
Lasts for up to 30 servings
No artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives
Dairy Free - (Why would it contain diary?)

Available from www.thebeautychef.com

Bio Elixia Night Renew Complex $69.95
I have been a bit scared of night creams firstly because they are super expensive and secondly because I didn't want to admit that I was old enough that I needed one. But the Bio Elixia Night Renew Complex is a game changer, it uses dermal delivery technology to take the ingredients below the surface layers of the skin to help hydrate at a deeper level. My skin has been loving this night cream and I've been waking up noticing the difference in texture and appearance.
Available from www.bioexlixia.com

Solar D 50+ Vitamin D Friendly Sunscreen
What an amazing innovation, finally a sunscreen which protects you from the suns harmful UVA and UVB rays but allows you to absorb natural vitamin D. With the worrying amount of people being prescribed Vitamin D supplements because of the amount of time spent indoors and sheltered from sun because of the obvious dangers, Solar D is an amazing product which will be slip slop slapped all summer long.
Available from www.priceline.com.au

BODY PRODUCTS

Naked Tan Goddess Gradual Tan $28.00
Fake tanning is a scary process which I have been hesitant to try in fear that I will end up looking like an orange mess, but Naked Tan's Gradual Tan has been a fantastic first timers experience with fake tan. The tan applies evenly and gives a great bronzed look to the skin. On the first attempt I did go slightly overboard on my feet and knees which I took to with an exfloiator to get rid of the dark patches. But the second application was smooth sailing and I am not completely hooked.
Available from www.nakedtan.com.au

La Mav Coffee Bean Body Scrub $29.95
Ok so I don't drink coffee because it gives me the shakes and makes me feel like I am loosing my mind but I am willing to rub it into my thighs if it is going to help eliminate cellulite even slightly! I don't know if this is working but I am going to keep trying because even if it makes a tiny difference its totally worth it!
Available from www.lamav.com

HAIR CARE

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner $17.99 each
In breaking news I have decided to stop dying my hair and grow out my natural colour, the only problem is that I don't look like I have that cool gradient balayage I just look like my roots are really bad. So I have been using the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder range in my transition period to help with the whole situation. Oh god, it is taking all my will power not to walk into the closest salon to get a full head of blonde foils, in the long run having my natural hair colour will look better, not cost me a small fortune every 8 weeks and also be a lot healthier.
Available from www.priceline.com.au

Beauté Gazette interviews Rachael Finich brand ambassador for Colour Theory and Skin Theory

Colour Theory is a brand that I wish was around when I was 13 and first experimenting with makeup, instead my pocket money was spent on awful blue eye shadows and lip glosses so sticky you could use them as super glue. The quality of Colour Theory products is phenomenal and with the pricing at nothing is above $13.00 it gives women of any age and budget the opportunity to try the brand.
Colour Theory is sold exclusively through Amcal stores for more info go to www.colourtheory.com.au

Colour Theory recently celebrated its first birthday and also announced its first ambassador the beautiful Rachael Finch. Beauté Gazette was lucky enough to have a quick chat to Rachael at the launch about her beauty secrets and her fave Colour Theory products....

Beauté Gazette
Rachael your everyday look seems to be a natural and glowing look, what are the top three products that you use to take your make up from day to night?
Rachael Finch
1. A bold lip, if you are unsure of using bright colours then just go a couple of shades darker than your everyday colour rather than a statement red.
2. Make your eyes pop with a few extra coats of mascara.
3. Using the bronzer from the Colour Theory 'Bohemian Goddess' as a highlight and bronzer on your cheek bones and eyes to give a glowing sun kissed feel your makeup.
B.G
I wish that Colour Theory was around when I was growing up and first starting to experiment with make up because it seemed there was nothing on the lower price point I could afford to buy except for shimmery blue eyeshadow. (Cannot believe I admitted that to an actual beauty queen) What were your first make up products when you were a teenager?
R.F
My first pieces of make up came from my Mum's make up kit, because there wasn't that option for affordable makeup. As you get older and you find items that suit you more. The quality of Colour Theory's products are extremely high because are developed and made in the same factories as a lot of higher end make up brands, which is amazing. Teenage girls and women of all ages are able to use the Colour Theory products and really trust the quality and result.
B.G
What are your favourite Colour Theory products?
R.F
At the moment I am loving the nail polishes, they are amazing value being $4.00 each. The dry time is really fast and the colour range is great for Summer, my favourite shades are the pastels which haven't left my nails - in particular the pastel pink which goes with everything.
Here is a sneak peak at my favourite product in the NEW Skin Theory range : The Daily Moisturiser with 15+SPF it is amazing for oily skin, keeping your skin plumped and hydrated without being overly greasy.
Colour Theory is sold exclusively through Amcal stores for more info go to www.colourtheory.com.au

Also a big thank you so much to Rachael for being so incredibly obliging and sweet.
