5 Products to create a quick and simple smokey eye look.

Creating your own signature smokey eye is so much fun, it takes a little while to perfect what shape suits your eye shape and which products work the best for you. These 5 products are my essential smoky eye must haves, I cannot create my favourite smokey eye without them:

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer $13.99 available from www.priceline.com.au
I had resided to the fact that primers did not work and were one big beauty con, that was until I tried the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. When only applied on the eye area it stops creasing and makes shadows last all day/night, if you have oily eyelids like me then this primer is amazing. It is very comparable to the Nars eye primer only a fraction of the cost and a lot less expensive. Having it as a protective layer it also makes removal of heavy eye make up a lot easier when cleansing.

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in 85 Mirifique $49.00 available from Chanel Counters
The Illusion D'Ombre cream shadows are so beautiful to use when creating a smokey eye. Using a smudge brush I like to push the cream shadow into my lash line and smudge out to give that lived in cool smokey eye look rather than a perfected Kardashian smokey eye. Oh Chanel why are you so pretty? The packaging and product are perfection.

Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara $37.00 available from www.makeupmediastore.com
When creating your smokey eye it is not the time for subtle lashes, it is a go big or go home type of scenario. This is my fave mascara of the moment, you can find a full review HERE if you are interested. Smokey lash will give your smokey eye look the perfect va-va-voom lashes!

Sephora Pro Smudge Brush $18.00 available from www.sephora.com
or Artitse Small Smudge Brush $14.95 available from www.priceline.com.au
The best kind of brush to use when smoking it up is a smudge brush, it blends in shadows into the lash line and allows you to have control over how far out from the lash line you want the shadow to be. As a final touch to make sure your smokey eye looks effortless use a fluffy blending brush to soften the edges of your eye shadow.

Make Up Store Soft Matt Liner in Darkest Shadow $34.00 available from www.makeupstore.se
You can't create a smokey eye look without liner, my favourite blackest of black liners is Make Up Stores Soft Matt Liner in Darkest Shadow. It glides onto your waterline and tight line giving your eyes an amazing kohl lined look. If I am travailing or needing to do a smokey eye on the go/in a taxi I have been known to smudge a little of this liner onto my lids and blend out with my finger, it is so soft that blending with a finger is totally ok.

My ultimate smokey eye inspo!
