When strolling down the toothpaste isle at the supermarket it can be a little overwhelming, with claims of whiter teeth within seconds and freshness galore! Whatever...

I am a tea addict, I mean a serious tea addict Matcha, Lady Grey, Chai, Darjeeling you name it I am drinking it all day long. As a result I always use a whitening toothpaste of some kind, never noticing a real difference just general ok not so bad averagely white teeth keeping staining at bay. Then I was sent a tube of Colgate Optic White, I started using it with a little scepticism promising me whiter teeth in one week....Yeh right!

My after a month and a half, finishing the PR sample and buying 2 more tubes of my own I can honestly say my teeth are whiter. Not to a Hollywood standard just yet but they are whiter than normal and I will continue to buy the little red tube of Optic White when in the toothpaste isle for now.

Another thing I like about Colgate Optic White is the packaging, it sits neatly on my bathroom ledge upright with a flat cap, no messy warped tube and leaking lid.

White Glo Extra Strength Whitening Toothpaste $5.49

Ok so this was an impulse buy when I was at the massive discount chemist a little hung over and not really in a frame of mind where I should have been shopping at all. So buying a professional whitening toothpaste which clearly states on the packaging that was 'orginially formulated for actors and models' was really hilarious at the time and it came with some free toothpicks and a tooth brush- SCORE!

Then I got really excited that it might actually make my teeth white as well as make me brake down laughing when I read the tube every morning in the shower.

A month later and I have almost finished the tube............and I think my teeth are actually looking a little whiter for reals. Like not so much whiter that anyone else would notice, but under good lighting and looking from some angles they are definitely whiter. Its not a dramatic difference like a professional whitening treatment would give you, but over time it has taken my teeth maybe 2 shades whiter which is pretty cool.  Next up I might try the White Glo Coffee and Tea formula because I am a Darjeeling addict.
